Go Green

I did a little bit of sewing today. I got the idea for the green, black & white from Julie Hermann's book Skip The Borders.  She has a nice quilt with black/white fabrics and green borders. Instead of the coin pattern in her book I used a pattern from Moda Bake Shop called Four Squared by Aunt Polly's Porch. Go here for the pattern.

The pattern is for a lap-size quilt but I made mine smaller as I just wanted a table topper size. I think the green looks great with the black and white fabrics. The green fabric I used is called Old Fashioned Calicoes.

Another cute quilt for decorating in March. It's just fun ya know decorating for the holidays. Buster is helping me out with my photo but he would rather be out walking which I'm going to do with him and Betty after I finish my post.

I hope all of you had a fun Saturday.  Are you watching the Superbowl tomorrow? I enjoy watching it, mostly I like the commercials.

It's so nice Carol! Buster matches your quilt.....besides the green. Tomorrow night we will be watching the commercials and eating the snacks. Can't forget the snacks!

Carol, I have admit this. I would have never have thought of using the black/white with a green - BUT your quilt is WONDERFUL!! I love the boldness of it - I love how that green just POPS to me.

You are so creative!

I never think of taking a pattern and just making it smaller. Very cute Carol. No Super Bowl watching here.
